JEDEC tray feeder for components/modules ASI-JTF3A is a compact and high-speed tray feeder specially designed for assembly machines in the SMT industry but suitable for feeding other types of machines for other uses:
• Feed to ICT machines
• Feed to AOI machines
• Feed for PROGRAMMING machines
• Feed to any independent automatic system
The feeder works with the “cassette” method – you load the cassette in the different types of trays and then load the cassette with the trays into the feeder – this method allows preparing cassettes in advance, outside the feeder, and a very quick transition when you want to change jobs. The feeder is fully compliant with JEDEC standards and meets high-level positioning, accuracy and repeatability requirements for both thick and thin trays at the same time. The feeder complies with international safety specifications, its functional modules comply with SEMI S2, CE and NFPA 70 and 79 standards, and its ergonomics also comply with SEMI S8 standards. Very compact!
The time to change a tray automatically takes about 5 seconds (depending on the length of the conveyor) and the empty trays are stored in a vertical position to save space in the feed area. The system is controlled by an internal computerized controller and is therefore able to function in the loading and unloading operations also independently. The feeder is suitable for all types of machines (with the help of a specific adapter for each type of machine)
It is also possible to define the length of the conveyor belt track according to the customer’s needs.
